Change your TRTN profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same. Until Monday [Dec 6] there should be
no human faces on TRTN; only an invasion of wonderful childhood
memories. This is in protest of violence against children. Support and
...show some love

I checked the shows they said they were on and found nothing. It would be a dumb scam anyway. It's not like pedophiles put their real picture up anyway. I think these days kids are a lot smarter about internet predators anyway...hopefully.

i heard that it's not a protest at all, but was actually started by a pedophilles who thought it would be easier to attract young children with social networking accounts to accept their friend requests if they had cute little cartoons as pictures...dont see how it fights child abuse at all.

It may not help but what if there is a child who is living in an abusive home and gets on facebook to see how many people are on there side. We may have given some poor child the strength to find a way out of their situation. It's a long shot but any little thing helps.

I heard the same thing as well. I also began to think how the hell do you protest against child abuse anyway, it's not like something the government has control over or legalized or something. And even if it's against the people who do it, seriously, do you think that this form of protest would make people think they should stop beating their kids. Most of the people who abuse children just claim they were "parenting" anyway. And most of the people who say they are against child abuse are usually the one's doing it but are just in denial about it and claim "it was the kid who started it anyway". Those are my thoughts on the situation anyway.
