Update: the hacking story is a cover up, they are actually down to improve security because of the increase of firmware available allowing pirated games to be played on PSN.

The only coverup was Sony holding back on informing their customers (for a week!) that their private personal information had been hacked into.

AMAIZING, improved game mechanics, no more dial-a-combo, u have free range to create, juggle and link combo's, graphics are stunning, although a little less in quality in the story videos, the story is epic, and re-tells the whole thing from scratch with new twists, eg: instead of smoke being turned into a cybernectic ninja, Sub zero is turned, the in-game damage is realistic, the background (arena's) are stunning aswell, even the sand mounds up as you fight in the desert, and of course the violence is EPIC, most graphic violence in a fighting game ever, X-rays are sick and fatalities are as violent as you can get, simply, it's the best Mortal Kombat of all time, and IMO it is a Street fighter Killer!!!

yup, makes sense, PSN updated to 3.56 to stop firmware pirated games working on PSN, within 24 hours a 3.56 firmware hack was released, the only way Sony can counter is to go offline and re-build there security system filling in the big holes that are in the security of the PSN. so its simple, either keep frimware 3.55-3.56 and dont go online, or update past this and dont play backed-up games.

Ha! Cole that is priceless.
And Bloodstep, Sony's changing alot of shit with the software. They got hacked, and embaressed, and customers are angry. So of course they will be changing more than what is needed. Thats the way shit goes.
