Look bro you got one hellova choice here. You can either accept her for whatever she is (and it's her choice) or you can ruin whatever relationship you have with her. You need to look back and see if you have seen signs that she feels this way for a while or if this is some new shit. If it's been a long time coming then it is what it is. If it's some new shit try talking to her, let me rephrase that, you need to try listening to what she has to say about why she feels that way without trying to push your views and opinions on her. Everything you say at that point will push her away if you judge her. She's 37 and I bet she probably has a pretty good idea of how she wants to be. It's a very long process to change yourself like that. She will have to go through extensive therapy and live as a man for a certain amount of time. They don't just sew a penis on or like the first kid said pull her vag out and blam she's a man. She will have to be somewhat serious to do this. Do you want her to be comfortable in her own skin or do you want her to suffer because you don't want to tell your homies your bro really used to be your sis? I understand your frustration and I'm sure it's not easy nor will it be easy for some time but once again, it is what it is. If this is some quick ass decision made by her she probably isn't that serious or will back out when she realizes the actual process. But you need to ask yourself what she needs. Why is she reaching out this way? You will ruin your relationship if you try and pressure her or give her ultimatums. You might "disown" her but she will still be your sister. Nothing will ever change that. You can try and stop it but you probably won't be able to. I can't give you magic words that will keep her from doing it but if you are understanding and supportive she will appreciate it and be more willing to listen to your advice (not judgements) in the future. My brother has been in and out of the closet, relationships with dudes and married to chicks and has kids. He never has expressed he wanted to go that far with it but he's still my bro. It's alot easier to deal with this shit if you accept that what you want for her DOES NOT outweigh what she wants for herself. Good luck.
