Tell me about the time you first time you ever heard Tech's music. All the details, Where you were at the time, what your thoughts were, what song it was, things like that. For me it was a couple years ago, I was driving around and my friend in the passenger seat is playing is his mix cd, and it comes to the song Einstein, and my mind was blown away, I had never heard nothing like this in my life. I looked at my friend and said "Who is this?" lol and with a big ass smile he said TECH N9NE. So I looked him up, and realized he was alot more original then I thought, the red spiked hair, painted face, bishop's robe. Never had i seen anyone with so much creativity in my life.

at school in grade 11. heard caribou lou, mixed some up that weekend and woke up with shaky vision
I was a TURNTABLIST b-4 the term was used in mainstream. One of my favs to cut-up was "Beat Box" by The Art of Noise. I stopped listening to RAP/HIP HOP around 1992 cause most of it was GARBAGE! " ATTENTION, I AM HARD HEADED!!!" As I recall, I was on HWY 78 in San Diego when I slipped in a disc my nephew had burned months ago. This guy was using 'Beat Box" as his track. After listening to" Bout to Bubble" twice , I thought to myself, "DAMN ,THIS GUY IS AWESOME!" The rest is history. I like almost ALL of TECHs stuff. Im 39 years old and my 16 year old son thinks its COOL that his Dad listens to T9. We go to every show when The Ninna is in town.
Well it was about eight years ago, I was in county for a short time, when a friend of mine started to freestyle Stanima. As soon as i heard it I asked him who it was. As soon as i got out i bought Anghelic, an have been a true fan since. It was well worth the time there to have discovered Tech.
i was leaving basketball practice in middle school in 99. A friend of mine had the calm before the storm in his cd player and had let's get fucked up cranked all the way up. i thought to myself that would be a badass song to get us pumped up for games. next thing you know we were gettin pumped to let's get fucked up and celebrating wins to planet rock
THe First herd tech N9ne I was 12 years and Imma tell came on the radio and i fell in love with that son then my dad foun me some more songs and i been listing to him ever since
The 1st time I met Tech was also the 1st time I ever heard of him. I went to an ICP instore in KC,MO. The whole time there was a trailer with this "crazy looking black guy on it". So after the instore I was waiting by the doors for ICP to come out. This "normal looking black guy walks up to go in the store. I told him who was inside and said I didnt know if he could go in or not. He knocked and got in and came out a few min later. When he walked out, he handed me a sampler called Anghellic. After he walked away, I realized he was the crazy black guy! So once I was on my way home back to the Lou, I popped the c.d. in and was expecting some thing lame. To my pure amazement, it was one of the most jaw dropping shit Ive ever heard. I waited so impatiently for that album to drop. I just remember being so excited and amazed by this, I was only 17 yrs old at the time. Its a really great memory for me.
in 1998 I downloaded (from Napster) Jurrasic 5 feat. Tech N9ne - Soul Searchin' and was blown away by his rhyme style.

i remember that day like it was yesterday! it was back in 2005 in my friends car, she was playing Slacker and i instantly was like 'daaaamn this guy is sick!' so i checked out his other shit and he's been my FAVORITE artist ever since! i met him on his Sickology tour and i respect him 100% as a person and an artist. the K.O.D. tour will be my fifth show, but deff not my last!!
