Tell me about the time you first time you ever heard Tech's music. All the details, Where you were at the time, what your thoughts were, what song it was, things like that. For me it was a couple years ago, I was driving around and my friend in the passenger seat is playing is his mix cd, and it comes to the song Einstein, and my mind was blown away, I had never heard nothing like this in my life. I looked at my friend and said "Who is this?" lol and with a big ass smile he said TECH N9NE. So I looked him up, and realized he was alot more original then I thought, the red spiked hair, painted face, bishop's robe. Never had i seen anyone with so much creativity in my life.

The first time i heard Tech was when my friend gave me a cd that had Ima playa on it, when i heard it i was like this is the best song in the world. Ever sence then iw been a Technician and listin to Tech N9ne everyday 24/7. To me Tech is the best rapper in the world and will be tell i die. He got the best flows, lyrics, and style. Tech has a badass concert everytime he does one and i just gone 2 one in Tucson 4 days ago.
First time I heard Tech was at my buddies house smokin a blunt.. and he's like hey man you ever hear Tech N9ne.. puts on Suicide Letters and I could not beleive how good he was i was sold ever since!!!
i wanna say it was me and my homie jimbo.my mom went into the store and he had Anghellic and he was like "you gotta listen to this one track,it uses the halloween theme song as the beat!" and back then we were huge into psychopathic so anything michael myers related we were down for. he played it and i was blown away and ever since then i've been a fan.
wow the first time i had ever heard of tech n9ne was when i was on itunes one day and i remembered hearing his name mentioned somewhere but i cant really remember where. so i searched him and just clicked on a random song which sounded like it would be pretty cool. that song was "Riot Maker" off of Everready. i was thinkin "damn, this is some good shit". after that, i think i listened to some songs on absolute power and vintage tech. i also bought "Imma Tell", "Keep On Keepin On" and "Victory. Every since then, ive bought every album, listened to every song and been hooked like crazy on his shit. tech is always on on my ipod. im looking forward to more albums in the future. TECH N9NE!!!!
all i used to listen to was inner city posse then icp reformed their band to insane clown posse and i just started going through all the artists featured in their songs and found tech n9ne and became an instant fan gotta love how he put it down in little pills love that song ta death
i was in study hall, trying to hold still cuz i was listening to sex out south :D his voice turns me on lol
I don't specifically recall the VERY FIRST time I first heard Tech Nizzle, but I remember at least 6 years ago when Tech N9ne came with ICP to a show here in SLC, I remember my mom and sis talking about him because they went to the show and met him and he signed their posters and whatnot. I believe this was when Absolute Power came out. My sister gave me the "Hostile Takeover' cd and that's when I first started listening to him and I ABSOLUTELY WAS IN LOVE with it! I have been ever since and have always been a STRANGE MUSIC follower! 4 LIFE, BABY~!!!!! I have all of his music and DVDs. A true Tech Fan!
First time I ever heard Tech was when I was about 15 (I'm 20 now), I had a boy who was into him but I had never listened to his shit. We went to one of the earlier shows (I think) he ever did in Seattle, way back when he had the whole roster opening up for him. As far as I remember there were a couple local acts, followed by a group out of the ICP crew. Then we had skatterman and snuggbrim (REAL STICKY, NO SEEDS! ROLL IT, LIGHT IT, PUFF IT, PAAAASS! NOW DRINK WIT US TIL WE ALL ON OUR ASS!!!). Hell yea, lit up the first blunt (back when he played at The Premier and nobody gave a shit about smoking...now he always plays at The Moore Theater with assigned seating and strict smoking rules - personally I can't stand it). Next came Kutt Kalhoun...I CAME TO BRING THE FLAMES!!! This motherfucker blew me away. I even thought it was tech n9ne at first (being I had never seen, nor heard any of tech's shit yet, not to mention the countless cries from the audience - TECH! TECH! TECH!). I'm pretty sure this is where Big Krizz Kaliko made his first appearence, doing backup vocals and chorus's. The set was savage to say the least, and by the time they left the stage I had pushed my way to the front. Now this crowd was much different from the ones I see these days at a Tech show. Sure there was still the same extremely diverse variety of people his shows always attract...blacks, whites, asians...backpackers and thugs. But you had to be a lot more careful who you shove out the way...even when there was nobody on stage there would be mosh pits full of juggalos, crypts, bloods, and just gangster ass mahfuckers beating the shit out of each other. When Tech first put out Riot Maker I took that shit to heart, cause I was there when people were brawling it out waiting for him to get on stage. I was even throwin hooks, irritated at the fact Tech always takes like an hour to show up. He sure knows how to build the fucking anticipation. Finally after waiting forever, the lights get low, the background music turns off, and random strobe lights start flickering. You hear a roar coming from the crowd like you've never heard, then I see this fool walk out of nowhere in a robe worn by priests (I forget what they're called), and face paint on. Some ladies walk from the sides, de-robe him, and he tears THAT SHIT UP. If I'm not mistaken he opened with Einstein, but it was live no matter what. I had never heard nor seen anything so fuckin ill in my life. Songs I remember that stuck out were It's Alive, Psycho Bitch, This Ring, Breathe, Tormented...the list goes on, it was the tightest shit I've ever seen. I smoked my second blunt during Breathe, almost passed out during Psycho Bitch, and had my lighter up with everyone else at This Ring (which by the way stuck with me as my all time favorite song by Tech N9ne...). Now that I think of it I'm pretty sure this was the Hostile Takeover tour. At some point Kutt and Krizz came out on stage, making this the most diverse show I've ever seen...dancing, passing the mics back and forth, collaborating...sick. Finished with I'm A Playa, strippers on stage and everything. I've seen him almost every time he's been to Seattle ever since, including once at the Key Club in Hollywood while I was living down there recording my own album (right after he came out with Everready....I was TWISTED off some Caribou lou, along with everyone else in the crowd). Anyway it was his live show that got me hooked, and I feel more than priviledged to have been there when he first started blowing up. Being a fellow MC, he's an inspiration that compares and almost rivals over other greats such as Pac, Em, Wayne, B. Ali, Nas, etc... He's the most underrated MC of all time and deserves more than he's been given. Vote for him on MTV, request him on your radio, see his show. Fuck the industry. TECH N9NE
I heard Tech N9ne for the first time at one of his concerts in Tulsa at Cain's Ballroom. All I kept hearin was how hard he goes and that I would love the shit, so I decided to go see what he was about. A bottle of E & J, a couple Ls, and some bars later, I remember bein' at the concert and hearin' "who you aim to be?, who you claim to be?, do you aim to be insane?, bang with me........" and "ain't no changin' me, ain't no sugar veins in me, ain't no petty kiddie games in me, if you wit me n ain't ashamed to be....." it's hard to type the feel of the song, but if you've heard it you know and long story short, I heard him go off on that fuckin' song and became a fan for life. I was thinkin' "ashamed?" Never that - I'll fully fuckin' represent from now on. I left feelin' (I think the whole crowd felt) like we could take the city. It's kinda hard to explain, but everybody was surgin', for lack of better word. I bought Anghellic and identified with the entire CD in a real real way, added Tech and Strange to the prayer list and it's been on ever since. It's hard to sum up the whole Tech N9ne experience, but technicians understand. Tech N9ne!!!
I was smokin a phat blunnt wit my b-dawg's out on tha cownah and I been heard this voice playin in the back of my hed piece. Shit sure nuff it was dis song i herd from a homie a while back when we wuz bumpin in his cadalac and it strate bumped my soul and shit. I was lovin that song and just jammin out in my hed.
"the anthem" off sway and king tech's "this or that" in 1999
