Tell me about the time you first time you ever heard Tech's music. All the details, Where you were at the time, what your thoughts were, what song it was, things like that. For me it was a couple years ago, I was driving around and my friend in the passenger seat is playing is his mix cd, and it comes to the song Einstein, and my mind was blown away, I had never heard nothing like this in my life. I looked at my friend and said "Who is this?" lol and with a big ass smile he said TECH N9NE. So I looked him up, and realized he was alot more original then I thought, the red spiked hair, painted face, bishop's robe. Never had i seen anyone with so much creativity in my life.

Wow. Its been a minute, but it was on Sway and King Tech's CD "This or That" in like '99. Heard his verse in "The Anthem" and it was a wrap. I live in Atlanta and I been spreading word like crazy, and a lot of people love Tech in the A. GOTTA COME TO THE DIRTY TECH, WE WAITING!!!!
The first time i heard tech was back in 2000 there was a sampler c.d put out for anghellic. I heard it at a homies house kickin back drinkin and shit and I hear psycho bitch... i was like whoa who tha fuck, what the fuck... It blew me away, from then on i did research on strange and have been on top of strange music and every album that drops... Can't wait for that Liquid Assassin c.d to come out in 09...gone

The first time I knew I heard him was when I looked him up on Youtube cause I've started to listen to fast rap and a friend gave me the tip. I heard him on Youtube on a compilation of his fast raps and after then Caribou Lou. Later I realized that I've heard him before on Sway & King Tech's Anthem song :D
It was late 2001 i was delivering chinese food with my home boy ridin with me. I always listen to cds not the radio, I knew the industry was punks long before tech said it. Anyway we where diving along when i switched cds. The radio was on Z93. When i took the cd out there was a dope beat playing so i let it ride. It was its Alive. That shit blew me away. When i got off work we went back to his house and down loaded some tracks. All were digital gold and the next day we went and both bought a copy of Anghellic the original release. Now i have a huge collection with that cd being one of my faves. I still have it and Tech even signed it for me. To this day that is the only time i ever heard Tech on the radio and im still shocked cuz I live in South Carolina and the only people i know thats heard of him I turned on.
I can't remember the first time i heard him exactly, but I know it was with KMK on FTI2. I had never heard of Tech, I had been listening to KMK for a while and I hear this song and I'm like who the fuck is this on the song with him, he's fucking good. So I see that it's Tech N9ne, and I'm still like who the fuck is that, cause i had never heard of him. I went online and couldn't find any of his shit on Bit torrent (at the time there was none) so i went to his Myspace and downloaded the 4 songs up there: The Beast, Snake Ya, JellySickle, and Be Warned. I burnt them on a CD with some other shit and then a month or so later i had to buy a cd because i needed more. I went to the record store and they had to order it because they really weren't selling his shit in stores much then. So I got them to order Anghellic and its been on ever since.
I am from stl, and was in kcmo for a sound comp. I had someone come up to me sellin cd's in front of the big movie theatre there. I bought it, and loved his shiet ever since. That was 1995!
First song I heard wit him was on Solé's CD, on a track called "Ain't Nobody Fuckin' Wit It". I was like, who the heck is this dude.....then I heard him on Yukmouth's double album thinkin' he was on a whole other level than Yuk.

I remember "Questions" being one of the 1st songs I heard of him too.

My boy then turned me onto his Calm Before the Storm and Worst albums, speakin' of which, the first track he heard was a track called "Take A Picture". I love that track!
-"Q"
I was in 7th grade and I went to a new school. I met a kid who listened to nothing but country music and one mix cd with rock and a little bit of rap. He burned it for me because of Einstein. Which was on it. I heared that track and was blown away. My friend didnt know who it was. I listened to that track all the time and then in my sohpmore year of highschool. I was listening to it in my headfones and some random kid was like, "Ya, Tech N9ne." I thought he ment the name of the song but then he turned me onto enough Tech music to get me started now I listen to Tech N9ne all day, every day. Im always recognizing songs that I used to like before I knew who made them too.
Tech N9ne 4 ever
first time i heard tech was just a few days after anghellic came out. the song was Twisted. i was on my way home from school with a juggalo friend of mine. i got the goosebumps and chills and was just completely entraced by the lyrical content. and still today thats my favorite tech song...period.
The first time i heard Tech was back in 2005 when Madden 06 came out. At the time i didn't really like rap music, and come to think of it had never really given it a chance. But when listening to 'The Beast' i couldn't believe the lyrics i was hearing (and this is a censored version bear in mind, when i heard the uncut version i was amazed!) Over here in England US underground rappers practically get 0% exposure so the chances of people hearing artists such as Tech are extremely low, as well as Madden not being popular over here either ;)

So just as i was going to leave a comment on an American friends MySpace to ask him had he heard of Tech N9ne, and what his opinion was, but then his profile kicked in. It was Slacker. I was freaked out to say the least that i was going to ask the guy had he heard of this rapper i'd just listened to, and his profile song answered it for me. It turned out he was a big Tech fan and goes to his shows everytime he's in Ohio. He sent me a couple of songs to listen to, and i also looked on YouTube to listen to more. I then spread the word to my friends so they could know what we'd been missing out on. I've never looked back since then.
wow first time i heard tech n9ne was in 97 or 98 i was about 13 so like 11 years ago and it was on yukmouths thuggedout album the song was BUMBELL i was blowen away i had never heard any one spit lyrics that fast and furious
