the mayans are the ones whom our calendar is based off of. they weren't able to finish it and it ended in 2012. i believe something might happen like a polar shift but not the end of the world.

Think about it. We are listening to scientists who conduct studies telling us that conducting studies don't really help out society and are wasting tax payers money.

I saw something about them saying they base their cycle on the number five.
Five being completion.
2012 being the end of the fifth cycle.
They died out before they were able to start a new cycle.
